Sell more Art Share

Today's Tip
Charisma is really about communication. When possible tell how you came up with your creative idea. Why you like this still life set up better then another way. Communication helps your audience relate better to your work and to you as an artist. It can be simply why you used on color or brand of paint over another. Why you used watercolor or oils. You know why you embrace your subject, so share the love of art and inspiration with the world.

The Things We put into Fruit Jars

Hydrangeas in a Fruit Jar
Hydrangeas in a Fruit Jar, painting by Delilah Smith
About This Painting: When I was in Ireland it seemed like everywhere I went I saw Hydrangeas. They were the largest I had ever seen and so many different colors. I feel in love with them there and the romance goes on.

I am always amazed at the things that I put into Fruit Jars They seem to work so well for Just about everything, from drinking out of them to a collection of buttons. When I was a child my mother would put ice water in the jar and tighten the lid down so I wouldn't spill it and send me back the lane where Dad was working in the hot field. His eyes would light up when he saw that fruit Jar of Ice cold water coming his way.

Today I just like to paint them. Woops forgot I have some with paint brushes in.

What about you, what kind of collections are in those fruit jars on your shelves? Anything interesting to paint?

A mind like a steal sieve

Focus is extremely important to being successful in many areas of our lives

Unfortunately it is something that is getting hard to deal with as time goes on. How many of us find more and more distractions as time goes on? What you may not realize is that staying focused is also important to getting rid of clutter and working towards the goal of living a decluttered life. Read More

As an artist everything interest me. It is so easy for me to move from one thing to another and forget what it was I really wanted to do.

The only solution for me is a note book, a journal and a ton of those sticky notes. This is necessary because I have a mind like a steal sieve. I review them every few weeks to see what I was thinking about. Now I  do not loose  those great ideas, they are somewhere that I can find them. The sticky notes just get stuck on things so I remember what is was I wanted to do. Most of the time those bright colored friend end up on the front door. So I don't go plein air painting with out my brushes or something.

focus when I am n the studio painting is easy. The day goes by sometimes the night all I see is what I am working on . Thank God that I need a cup of coffee every now and then or i would never leave. So for a very unfocused person I can be so focused.
