You can not go wrong with great bush work,so enjoy the paint and each brush stroke. Keep it simple just paint. You are the creator do not be the critic, don't over analyze,just paint and be the creator. Keep is simple and paint, if you showed up today and started painting you are ahead of the game.
Remember Van Gogh would never have painted if he listened to the critics and his own criticism of himself. In his very short life he painted more then 900 paintings in his lifetime. He only sold one painting but he showed up everyday and painted. He only became famous after his death.
You just cannot go wrong with great brushwork and showing up at the easel everyday.
