Is it Taboo to Use White and Black in Watercolor
Is the use of Black and White paint in watercolor something you should avoid? I have seen marvelous paintings done in watercolor where the artist has used both black and white.
Keep in mind that you can mix a wonderful shade of black by blending red and green pigment so most watercolorists don't even keep a tube of black watercolor.
Keep in mind if you do use black and white paint that some exhibitions will only accept only pure transparent watercolor.
This weeks small aceo paintings are available at my ebay store.

Nothing is Taboo otherwise there wouldn't be dark nights.
I am with you, what ever makes it look the way you want it too. I like to ask other artist how they got that look, it is amazing what they do to get that special look.
