Roots No5 completed

I'm finally finished with the first large painting in the series. It is 24x20 done in oil. Here is the painting about half way done.

Time to add a little more color. I think it needs a little visual texture to it so I add some in the beet leaves.

Now I an adding a glaze of color

Finally a little detail starts to be painted in.

I step back and look at the painting often as I work on it.

Add more layers of color.





The finishing touches put in place and this painting is done.
