“Consumers Respond To Email Offers From Marketers and Publishers On
Different Days.

The best days to achieve high click-through rates on
email campaigns varied for both marketers and publishers.

The data
reveals that marketers have the highest click-through rates between
Tuesdays and Thursdays with an average of 6.5%, while publishers have
the highest click-through rates on the weekends with an average rate
of 9.4%. These results indicate that consumers tend to respond to
marketing offers during the week possibly from work where the

Selling Art

It’s hard to believe it’s nearing the end of summer. Labor Day has come and gone and I  will soon be  traveling.to Art Prize is coming this month and I am still rushing to put the finishing touches on everything. That is why I have a big smile on. It starts the 21 of Sept 2011 and will be going until Oct 9 2011. I will be there with my work in the Waters Building in Grand Rapids MI Sept 21 - Sept28. A few long days, but I hope to see you there and vote 43111. To see more of my daily paintings click here.

Now a little bit about how to sell your art.

Here is an article I found on Selling Art in a Weak Economy.

Art lovers everywhere find themselves with less discretionary capital to spend on that love of their lives-- artwork. Facts are that selling artwork isn't easy even in a healthy economy, and at times like this, it can seem downright impossible. But confronting adversity is a fact of life, especially for artists, and any artist who expects to be successful must continually adjust to prevailing conditions in order to survive. So let's assess the situation and explore how certain adjustments might play out to the upside at this point in time.

Why I Like selling art on line

At a Show:
If it’s bad weather, trying to find a close parking space and carrying your precious artwork across the wet (or icy) parking lot is no fun at all. If the event is outdoors and it’s raining, then your work is even more at risk. And of course, in bad weather there will also be fewer people in attendance.

Online:
With your work floating over the web, you’re as warm as toast and dry as a bean, barring the occasional power outage, of course.

Having said all of that I spent most of the day today planing for ArtPrize 2011 my next big event.

ArtPrize 2011: September 21 - October 9

ArtPrize® is a radically open competition. Open to any artist in the world who can find space.  Open to a vote from anyone who attends. Vote 43111.
I will be in the Waters Building.
I hope to see you there.

Carol Marine daily painter tragic fire

Texas Wildfires Claim Artist Friend's Home and Studio

Carol Marine

My thoughts and prayers are with fellow artist and Daily Painter Carol Marine, her husband and their family who lost their home and everything they own in the Texas wildfire of Bastrop over the weekend. The family is reportedly safe, but, sadly, in the fires she also lost her entire new studio which was just completed in May of this year.

Carol was one of the original Daily Painters back in 2006 when the wave started to build. I have always admired her masterfully-composed, direct paintings, with her signature brushstroked and luscious color.

The family has good insurance, but if you'd like to donate to a fund to take care of their immediate financial needs, you can find a Paypal link at her book site.

Its A Rocky TIme

It's a Rocky start to September as I am getting ready for my big Sept art event ArtPrize 2011. The post man left my new box of 2000 business card on the sidewalk in the rain. I came hoe last night and there was the soggy box falling apart and dripping wet. The water had penetrated  the box and the card boxes in the inside were damp but the card themselves were not to bad. They were a little limp but I think they will recover. I can order the cards from VistaPrints a great place to get your business cards, just order early because the shipping takes 28 days.
